QSI Young Writers Award Round OneThe first round of the Shenzhen Standard and QSI Young Writers Award was concluded this month with 34 entries across Primary and middle school. The award was a huge success with pupils writing about their experiences in Shenzhen and coming up with some great examples which will now be published and provide interesting reading for the people of Shenzhen.

The standard of entries was high and it was extremely difficult to choose the winners with so many entries standing out. In the end the judges managed to pick a top three for primary and middle school.

In third place in QSI Primary winning a 100rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt was Sato Kamimura, in second place winning a 200rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt the judges chose Meg Wang and the winner winning a 300rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt was Taj DeHart.

In third place in QSI middle school winning a 100rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt was Ido Enav, In second place winning a 200rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt the judges chose Claire Warner and the winner taking home a 300rmb meal voucher, a Young writers award certificate and a SZ Standard T-shirt was Alitza Fisch.

Congratulations to all the winners and well done to all entries. Special thanks to QSI staff for all their help promoting this event. Next month the topic is – If I had 1 million dollars which good cause would I help and what would I do.

The closing date is May 22nd.

We look forward to reading more fantastic entries and giving away even more great prizes with the Grand Mercure hotel joining the Shekou restaurants in donating prizes next month.
