Five men caught for selling fake medicines for diabetes
Five suspects for selling fake diabetes medicine was detained by the Bao’n police. According to the Shenzhen news report, these men are making money of more than 136,000 yuan (US$20,607) from selling fake medicines that believed can cure diabetes.
Huang, one of the victims of these men, ride in unlicensed taxi at Shenzhen International Airport last March 16, with another passenger pretending to be a professor of medicine who convinced him to buy the dried salangane by two men on the street for it is good in curing diabetes. Since Huang’s father had diabetes, he bought 20 salangane for 2000 yuan and became more interested when another man pretends to be a doctor convinced him to buy more for t is a rare medicine. Later, he discovered after paying the amount of 60,000 yuan that they disappear with his luggage and realized it was a fraud.
Police said that the fraudsters targets visitors that were not familiar with the city.
