Binhai to Act as Pilot City for Electric Vehicle Project
Before the next year comes around, five new electric charging stations will be installed in different parts in Shenzhen. Southern Metropolis Daily stated that the stations would be built around the Binhai New Area just East of the city.
Shenzhen’s Urban Planning Land and Resources Commission will handle all responsibility to the district in leading the city in the age of electronic vehicles, by building ten more stations by the year 2020. Shenzhen joined the electric vehicle bandwagon late last year, and have already been erecting charging stations and networks around the city. Shenzhen will also have 24,000 new energy buses, private and government vehicles running the streets.
The Shenzhen Urban Planning Land and Resources already started research in October of last year on the feasibility of making Binhai as a pilot point of their electric vehicle project.
