Exciting Poetry Month Finale!
Wow! April was chock-full of poetry as students and staff took part in a myriad of activities which had us reading, writing, presenting, interpreting, drawing, performing and listening to poetry in all of its wonderfully varied formats. Last week saw the conclusion of our Poetry Month celebration with two big events.
The Poet’s Cup, which began last year at our middle and high school levels, was extended to the elementary school. Under the auspices of our libraries, all students were invited to participate in this creative writing initiative. Congratulations to everyone who took the brave step of submitting their work. The following students were recognized at special assemblies for their award-winning entries:
