Oakland is the fifth largest port in the United States, with major exports of wine, cotton and organic food to Shenzhen, and Quan hopes that more companies in Shenzhen will consider investing in Oakland by putting up facilities such as industrial freezer warehouses and large refrigerators. Quan also hopes that direct airline routes or flight will be coming from both cities in the near future.
Quan who is Chinese American said that there are a lot of Chinese Americans living in Oakland and most neighboring cities, some even originated from the Guangdong provinces and have already been traveling back and forth in their hometowns over the past ten years and invested in local businesses.
