Land set aside to accomodate government housings
Shenzhen is supplying around 40 hectares of land to the government to accommodate the government subsidized housing plans for this year. This compromises an 8 percent increase since last year on land use by the city urban planning, land and resources commission.
The land that is set aside for the houses are found outside the old special economic zone in the Futian, Nanshan, Yantian and Luohu districts. Urban renovation will be providing an additional seven hectares for the housing project. The government will prioritize disabled people in accepting applications of the government subsidized housings.
Under the regulations applicants interested in the government housings, must have an income of no more than 26,000 yuan for two consecutive years, in which they can be eligible for the cheap homes.
