Resaurant Review – Tequila Coyote’s Cantina
In search of Shenzhen’s number one eating place I decided to go Mexican. I felt I could only do a fair review of Tequila Coyote by visiting both the Shekou and Coco park restaurants. Both restaurants have a nice Mexican feel to them, Shekou is slightly bigger and has some nice soft seating to lounge on while waiting for friends, coco park is in a more cosmopolitan area which is reflected in the formal seating.
In Shekou I tried the chicken fajitas, the portion was massive and they were delicious. My friends tried the chicken burger which was also huge and a healthy portion of hard tacos.
In Futian we started with the Nachos after hearing friends rave about them and we were not to be disappointed as we were presented with a mountain of tortilla chips smothered in cheese, salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo and jalepenos. For starters you can also have chips and salsa, mini chimichangas (chicken and cheese rolled in flour tortilla deep fried to crunchy perfection), a host of different salads and soups. Starters start at 35rmb.
For our mains we had beef fajitas and soft chicken tacos. Again the portions were huge and we couldn’t finish so it is Mexican for lunch tomorrow. There were so many mains to choose from including different burgers, Burritos, pizza, tacos, chili and more. Prices of mains start at 40rmb.
To drink we tried margaritas which were sublime.
