More Foreigners Visiting Shenzhen
In the first half of this year, 3.99 million foreigners visited Shenzhen. This represents a year-on-year growth of foreign visits as noted by the frontier inspection general station of around 2.1 percent increase.
Most entries through the checkpoints consisted of Japanese, with Americans in second, and then South Koreans followed by Malaysians. The increase of visitors in Shenzhen shows the stability of the economic climate in the city. This has attracted more and more foreigners to come and visit and invest their money in businesses in the city.
Also helping to attract foreigners to the city is the fast development of the tourism market accompanied with a simplified entry and exit policy. In the past six months 22.8 million domestic travelers left and returned with Hong Kong as the their top destination, followed by Macao, Indonesia and Malaysia.
