Security Companies Find Uniform Change Unnecessary
The Ministry of Public Security recently announced its decision to change the country’s 4.2 million security personnel uniforms, a decision has not been well received by the security industry. The uniform change applies to security guards that are employed by security companies, government and companies.
Many of the security companies are finding the change unnecessary, since some of Shenzhen’s security companies already changed their uniforms last year. The new uniform will be known, as the 2011 Security Uniform is designed to be recognized quickly by the public.
The primary factor in the dislike for the uniform change is the added financial burden on security companies since there was no word on who will be paying for the uniforms to be issued to security personnel. Every security guard has two sets of uniforms and changing these means shelling out a couple of hundred yuan for each uniform.
