Cyclists to Tour Around Country to Promote Universiade
College students form ten cycling teams from around the country and will be going on a bike tour to promote the Universiade. The young cyclists will be carrying Universiade torches and will cover most of the provinces and cities in the country.
The cycling journey is to help promote an environmentally friendly and economical concept of the Universiade games. Nine disabled athletes have formed one of the ten cycling teams and is led by Chen Yousheng who was a torchbearer during the Guangzhou Asian Para Games.
The cycling team is scheduled to cover the coastal cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xiamen and Shantou and Shenzhen and also plans to visit institutions built for the disabled. The bike tour will end by August 9 just two days before the opening ceremony of the Universiade games.
