Motorists to Pay Fines Using Mobile Services
Motorists involved in minor traffic accidents can now pay their fines through text messages. To do this motorists will need to register their personal information with their vehicles details at the Mobile Phone Comprehensive Platform at the Shenzhen traffic police website www.stc.gov.cn
Drivers can also register through text messaging, users need to send their information to these numbers, China Mobile 106-5734-55222. China Unicom 106-5502-05222 and China Telecom 106-5902-035222. To register their vehicles owners must send the following. Vehicle color, plate number, last four digits of their vehicles engine number. To register driver information the owner needs to send driver’s license number, the last four digits of their file number, the driver’s name and mobile phone number.
Traffic police will be informing drivers if they have broken any traffic rules, they will also send messages on how they can pay their fines. Motorists can also check real time road situations, renew their driver’s license and get minor accident evidence logs through the mobile phone service.
Traffic police will be transferring all vehicle management online by the end of this year. This will enable residents to fill out applications, make inquiries and check punishments with infringements at their own convenience. Traffic police will also cooperate with car dealers, postal services, banks, insurance companies, hospitals and telecommunications to offer door to door services using the internet, TV and WAP services.
