FISU conference to be held in Shenzhen during the Universiade games
The 2011 International University Sports Federation Conference will be held on August 13 to 16 at Shenzhen University, with around 350 experts and professionals in sports research and management in attendance.
The experts and professionals are coming from 42 different countries, including the United States, Russia, Britain, France and Australia. Representatives and officials of athlete delegations that will be participating in the Universiade will also be attending the conference. The conference is organized by FISU every two years in conjunction with the Universiade.
During the conference, twelve keynote speeches will be delivered with topic that are related to the previous Beijing Olympics, the coming London Olympics. Sports management and university sports education. Outstanding academic dissertations in related fields will also be chosen and so far Shenzhen University have received 871 papers coming from students in more than 50 universities in the world.
An exhibition of Chinese seals will be displayed at the Shenzhen University to celebrate the opening of the conference on August 8. Zhong Guokang, a local artist, will create all the seals and calligraphy that will be featured in the exhibition. Guokang is one of the leading artists that specialize in designing and creating traditional Chinese seals.
