Games Organizers Receive High Praise from New FISU President
The new FISU President, Claude-Louis Gallien, praised the organizers of the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, saying that this is the best Universiade yet and the first time that the FISU saw more than 10,000 participants eager to be in the games.
He praised the organization for being able to control and manage this many people in just fifteen days. Its not an easy job but the organization did very well and impressed a lot of people. And Gallien hopes that even after the games that residents and youth will still keep on playing sports. The Universiade is a great place to learn how to accept victory, handle pressure, defeats and share honors with others. Young people that participated here gained a great experience.
Athletes that participated in the Universiade were not afraid of competing, they were here to play, share, learn, teach and to have fun. They came and left with great experiences to share with people back in their home country.
Gallien was asked to say a few things on the next venue of the Universiade in Kazan, Russia, on which he said that the country is almost ready and there will be more games to be added and venues and stadiums are almost done as well.
