Open House Weekend In Dongguan
MENSA Kindergarten, the first immersive bilingual kindergarten in China, will host its first Open House Weekend from August 27 to 29, 2011 at their new campus in Houjie Town, of Dongguan City, Guangdong, China. Everyone is warmly welcomed to attend and meet the professional faculty from Canada, Europe and China. Visitors will be led through a student’s typical day at the MENSA Kindergarten, touring an impressive array of facilities such as the indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, library, music and dance rooms, fully equipped classrooms, and a variety of outdoor play spaces including an outdoor basketball court, mini-golf course, soccer field, and playground.
Established by the same education group that brought to China the Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada, Shenzhen (Nanshan) Concord College of Sino-Canada, Anhui Concord College of Sino-Canada, the Canadian International School of Beijing, and the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen, MENSA Kindergarten’s curriculum is a unique combination of the Montessori, International Baccalaureate, and Canadian education systems, designed to establish a solid IQ and EQ foundation for every child.
Presentations will feature experienced early childhood educators, and will offer insight to such educational subjects such as:
· What is IQ and EQ, and how they are important to a child’s development · What is bilingualism, and how does an immersive bilingual environment help a child develop language skills? · How MENSA’s curriculum will help cultivate the whole child
An Inaugural Scholarship will be offered to students who apply, and are subsequently accepted into MENSA Kindergarten. Light refreshments will be provided.
MENSA Kindergarten is built upon an innovative education philosophy, combining international curriculums into one bilingual learning experience. The focus is to provide a well-rounded learning experience for children from 18 months of age to 6 years old. Recognising that young children have immense mental capacity and many physical capabilities, all age appropriate lessons are developed to grow each child’s interests, needs and abilities. All teachers are certified early childhood educators, and the guaranteed low student-teacher ratio assures that each child’s individual needs can met.
MENSA Kindergarten provides the choice of an immersive bilingual or a fully English program. Both are designed to establish a solid IQ and EQ foundation for every child.
The multi-faceted curriculum focuses on cultivating a sense of security, positive self-image, excellent social skills, habits of concentration, creativity, and motivation as well as physical, emotional and intellectual development.
