Hospitals to Issue Health Cards to Residents
By the end of the year, the city and district public hospitals will be giving away health cards to residents that will help in simplifying their hospital payments procedures. The health cards will offer three payment methods.
The three methods of paying medical bills will include using social insurance, a bankcard and cash. The card will be integrated with social insurance accounts and bankcards and the balance can be topped off by using cash. Either one of these methods can be used in paying medical bills in self-service terminals.
This will save time and give convenience to the residents in paying their bills. Queuing lines in hospitals will also be eliminated. The city plans to install the self-service terminals in all public hospitals before the year ends. Residents can also register themselves in this terminals when admitting themselves in the hospitals.
The city’s health department will start building an electronic health file system of the city’s residents that can be accessed by the patients, including their health records, treatments, diagnosis and other important medical information also to be stored on the health cards in the future.
