Min’ai Industrial Park to be Turned into a Center for the Disabled
A center that will be made especially for disabled people will be constructed in Longgang district. The government funded center will be finished in three to five years and will be inviting Hong Kong professionals to assist in managing the center.
The center is a subsidiary of the Shenzhen Association for the Disabled and will be built in Shenzhen Min’ai Industrial Park. The center will provide training and job opportunities for the city’s disabled residents. The center will also act as a community gathering center for the disabled. They will be given the chance to live like ordinary people since most of them have never had the chance to see the outside world.
The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong will be lending a hand in managing the center. Hong Kong has achievements in the care of the disabled in the past 50 years and they have high hopes for the center by introducing creative ways of caring for its new residents.
The Min’ai Industrial Park is owned by the Shenzhen Association for the Disabled that houses several factories used by companies that provides jobs for the disabled.
