Apple’s Co-founder Steve Jobs Succumbs to Cancer
Labelled as one of the greatest American CEO’s of his generation, the one responsible for giving the world the iPod, iPad and iphone formally resigned as CEO in August and handed over the company to current chief executive, Tim Cook. Steve Jobs died Wednesday at the age of 56 after a highly public several years of battling with cancer and other health issues.
Apple’s website will be switched to a full page image of their CEO with the text “Steve Jobs 1955-2011″ Jobs, who fought a rare form of pancreatic cancer in 2004 and had a liver transplant in 2009 and was deemed the heart and soul of the company.
