Laurel is a beautiful restaurant with splendid wooden decor. Parked outside were a host of top of the range sports cars suggesting the clientele were pretty affluent, and maybe suggesting the prices would be pretty steep. This was not to be the case as prices were more than reasonable considering the standard of food, which was amazing.
We tried a range of eight dim sum dishes and the Peking duck. Everything was served to perfection and the total bill was just over RMB 300.
For a great bargain try the breakfast Dim Sum, served from 7.30am until 10.30am. At only RMB 42 for a dim sum buffet you get unbelievable value.
Laurel also have restaurants in Portofino and Luohu at Xin Du Hotel.
