Hiking trails to be built in Qiniang Mountain
A two route 12 kilometer hiking track in Qiniang Mountain in Longgang district will be finished before the year ends and will be open to the public for free by next year. the Xinda route in Nan’ao sub-district is almost done, and the construction of the Luyan route in the Dongshan Community will be done soon.
Considered as the second highest mountain and the only ancient volcano found in South China, Qiniang
Mountain have breathtaking views of the Nan’ao Peninsula and the sea. Because of the lack of development in the mountain in the past years, there here a lot of instances of lost hikers every year. now the new track are designed by a construction company with inputs from professional hikers and pleasure hikers.
The mountain is a favorite hiking area in Shenzhen, people are starting to raise interest on the issues such as hikers safety, rescue and park services. Solar powered lights will be installed around the tracks and hikers can charge their mobile phones and flashlights using outlets found near the solar lights.
Rest areas will also be constructed for hikers and eight shelters that will provide drinking water, medicine and beds.
