Proposed Draft to Give Men More Days Off
A proposed draft on giving parents with children under three years of age an additional five days off every year. the paid holiday is aimed at giving fathers more time to spend in lending a hand raising their children.
The regulation was also proposed to start on October 28 every year which is Men’s Day, wherein men are given a half-day off, the same as women do during Women’s Day. During this day a temporary refuge and support is offered to those escaping domestic violence. While the draft is welcomed by most women, many of the men say they prefer to work because they find it easier than taking care of their wives and children. Some even say that the day off they get during their wife’s child birth was enough.
The proposed draft also allows women to decide whether to continue working when they reach the required retirement age of 55.
