Super Computer to be Fully Operational by Next Month
Nebulae, China’s super computer is set to be fully operational at the National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen by next month. The super computer, Dawning Nebulae was developed and produced by the Dawning Tianjin Industrial Base and was released last year in June. The computer has a measured performance of 1.27 petaflops per second.
The supercomputer’s function can be divided into two; first is high speed calculations, the second is cloud calculations. Costs in building the super computer are said to be around 1.23 billion yuan and the National Super Computing Center is said to be the largest technological infrastructure in the city.
Right now the National Computing center is making its final preparations, after they have finished connecting the electrical supply for the super computer. Currently a large number of clients are already eagerly waiting to use the super computer.
