China Hi-Tech Fair to Showcase Cutting Edge Technology
This year’s China Hi-Tech Fair will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from November 16 to 21. The fair will feature new and cutting edge technology, cloud computing, internet of things and new energy. The National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen will also be launched during the fair.
The National Supercomputing Center will house the second fastest computer in China, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Science and the Shenzhen government. the Supercomputer is capable of 1,000 trillion calculations per second or 1 petaflop.
During the fair, four platforms will be established that will provide technological support for the meteorology, finance and public information industries, to provide essential support for advance computing software, innovation computing and data processing solutions and serve as the base for technological exchange and international cooperation in the South China region.
Cloud computing is Internet based computing that utilizes shared resources and software and where information is provided to computers and other devices on-demand.
