Restaurant Review – Atmosphere in Shekou
I decided to sample the delights on offer at Atmosphere restaurant at the peninsula this week. Having eaten here before I prepared myself by not eating lunch or breakfast in anticipation of the huge American style portions Atmosphere serves. I chose the antipasti platter for starters which consisted of Italian cold cuts, marinated vegetables, olives and cheese. It was huge and delicious, priced at 68rmb great value. Other starters on offer include home made liver pate with melba toasts, home made duck foie gras, bruschetta, escargots and many more delights cooked up by chef Jack and clearly under the influence of Michelle.
My main course was cod with a delightful looking and delectably tasting potato and bacon cake. The lemon butter sauce blended with the fish to make this a wonderful dish. For your mains you can choose from steaks, other grilled meats, ribs, pasta, pizza, lasagna, a great selection of sea food and more. I had a tiramisu which again was huge and delicious. Finally service was great and there were dozens of wines available. Great food, great atmosphere!
