Telecommunications Provider Opens New Network Development Center
Canadian telecommunications service provider JDSU recently opened a new broadband network development center in Shenzhen’s High Tech Industrial Park to further strengthen their research work in advanced test and measurement and optical communications products.
The company’s Shenzhen site will design various optical components and communication test solutions that are needed by communications network equipment manufacturers. It also deals with the development and deployment of self aware networks given by other service providers.
The JDSU Shenzhen center along with its research facilities worldwide, this positions JDSU close to customers that will give effective collaboration driving innovation that is needed for development and deployment of next generation broadband networks. Its Shenzhen site also includes laboratories for communications tests, measurements and optical communications that are fully equipped with world class research equipment and network infrastructures.
The center’s research and development efforts are finding solutions that simplifies network management that will reduce deployment and operation cost while improving the quality of communications systems.
JDSU established their research and development presence in 2000, after moving into their new facility that has 6,000 square meters of floor space and employing around 250 workers.
