WiFi Services Now Available at Two City Parks
Residents and visitors planning to visit Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park and the Lotus Hill Park can now use the free WiFi services in those places. Remaining parks will also offer free WiFi services after the Spring Festival.
Migrant workers were glad that the parks are now providing free WiFi services, which now allows them to go to the parks to browse the Internet using their mobile phones. Before they had to go to Internet bars or coffee shops to use the Internet, and now the feel more comfortable sitting at parks surrounded by nature and fresh air, rather than sitting in a crowded Internet bar.
The city’s park management center has an agreement with China Mobile, that the company will provide free WiFi in certain areas of the 15 public parks found around the city. China Mobile will shoulder the funds needed to construct the facilities. China Telecom will also provide Internet services, but users need to pay a certain fee to access the Internet or enter the passwords of their home broadband accounts.
