More Flights Added in Preparation for the Spring Festival
Starting January 8, China Southern Airlines will be adding more flights in preparation for the Spring Festival. The new flights will bring passengers to and from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and parts of Southeast Asia.
During this 40-day transport period, the airline is expecting to fly more than 7 million passengers or roughly 192,000 passengers a day. The airline said that most of their flights would be departing from Guangzhou and several major Chinese cities. The airline will be using their new A380 aircraft on the Guangzhou-Beijing route. Special discounts will be offered on flights between January 13 to 22 and from January 23 to February 6. The special discount will cover flights coming and going from Hangzhou, Haikou, Harbin, Zhengshou, Changsha and Dalian.
Shenzhen Airlines have also added more flights in anticipation of the Spring Festival. Most of their flights will cover routes for Central China, Eastern China and Northeast China.
