Holiday Travelers are Starting to Buy Advance Tickets in Preparation of the Spring Festival
Residents that are planning to travel during the Spring Festival are starting to book their train tickets as early as possible to avoid the rush. Then on the first two weeks of January the Shenzhen Railway Station counters can only sell tickets two days in advance departure instead of the normal ten days.
People can also book their tickets by phone from 8 am to 11 pm and online from 6 am until 11 pm. Still railway authority are reminding those booking tickets through phone and online that the system is still in the trial phase and residents are also constantly reminding of phishing Websites.
Railway stations are expecting 1.5 million passengers to travel in the pre festival period. Bus terminals are also starting to sell tickets in advance. Shenzhen’s largest long distance bus service run 400 routes that covers 24 provinces and major cities in Guangdong.
To residents traveling by plane, airport authorities are reminding that they will stop check in services 40 minutes before scheduled departures. And on January 1 Air Asia, Shenzhen Airlines and Tiger Airways will stop check in services 45 minutes before scheduled departures.
