Shenzhen Plans to Turn City into a Global Logistics Service Center
Shenzhen plans to turn the city into a global logistics service center, a national transport hub, and a city with a world class public transport. The city will be investing 284 billion in the next five years.
The city transport commission have already unveiled 10 plans and strategies that will push the development of high end logistics services and intelligent transport, relieve traffic congestion, improve road network environment and enhance sustainability of the city’s transport development. the plans were based on the city’s transport plan in the next five years.
To achieve the goals Shenzhen will plan and implement key infrastructure projects, which includes ports and railways. Shenzhen will promote transport integration on the Pearl River Delta and further strengthen roads links with Guangdong and other neighboring provinces.
To help relieve traffic congestion, the traffic commission and traffic police plans to increase operation costs of private cars and increase parking fees.
