Shenzhen to Introduce Overseas Innovative Teams to the City
Ten outstanding overseas innovative teams will be introduced in Shenzhen this year. This will step up the city’s efforts in introducing innovative professionals and scientific achievements that the city’s economic and industrial development needs.
Further more it will strengthen Shenzhen’s cooperation with several leading research institutions in the country such as the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences. The city will also strive to have more multinational companies establish their research and development institutions in the city. France Telecom, a telecommunications company in France has already established their first company research institute in China.
The government will be pushing its plans for more international cooperation to help further improve its innovative ability. The government will also be increasing its financial support in this area to help the 50 key technological breakthroughs that the city plans to achieve this year.
Last year Shenzhen ranked first among the ten most innovative cities in the country, it also saw the establishment of 134 national and provincial key laboratories in the city.
