Technology in Action!Fifth Grade Blogs

Fifth Grade students are setting up their blogs using Word Press. Students are learning how to embed photos and video into their posts. Students are also learning how to link their stories from the Internet program Storybird that they have been developing for their first grade buddy.

Fourth Grade Migration Unit

Fourth grade students are busy working on a Migration project using Photo Story3. Students are collecting data and images about the early 1900’s migration period. In the next few weeks the students will be developing a slide show with sound and special effects that depicts this time in history.

Third Grade Inventors

Third grade students are working on a January unit collecting information on a famous inventor. Students will be designing a Power Point presentation about the inventor using many techniques such as animation and background styles.

Technology in Action!Second Graders Show Their “Wild Side”

Second graders have been busy building Their Wild Self. This fun website comes from the New York Zoo & Aquarium. Students spent time exploring the different options to building their Wild Side and then printed out a copy. Students then used Microsoft

First Grade Celebrations!

First Grade students are searching celebrations around the world. This activity is in conjunction with their classroom study of celebrations. Students are learning Internet safety while looking for celebration images to download to Microsoft Word. Students in first grade are also working on learning to type in Dance Mat Typing. Kindergarten students have been working on a literacy unit using The Magic School Bus series on-line. Students are reading Clifford stories and are involved interactively. Here is the website: http://www.scholastic.com/magicschoolbus/
