The Benefits of Singing in a Choir
Voices of China International Children choir provide these kinds of opportunity for musical and personal growth. The choir is made up of both expat children and local Chinese children who are eager to learn new languages and cultures. One of the benefits of singing in a choir is that we all make lifelong friends and explore the world through choral music.
Best of all, children will discover the meaning of teamwork, responsibility, confidence, and the joy of being part of something larger than themselves. It’s been a dream of mine to create a choral program like we had in Hawaii and do something similar here in Shekou and we are all excited about introducing our Spring choral music to our children, says Wallace Horibata, Executive Director of Voices of China.
We value parent involvement at every level and encourage our parents to partner with us. In order for this partnership to be effective, we need to be able to communicate, which is why we employ two Chinese translators that help with our parents and children and also provide a safe environment for children to play and learn.
Enrollment for the Spring 2012 season is ongoing. Please feel free to call or e-mail us if you would like to learn more about our choir program. firstname.lastname@example.org
