The six aspects are, to enhance the city’s spiritual cohesion, to increase the amount of art created, competitiveness in cultural facilities, access to cultural facilities, global influence and reforms in cultural innovation. Several projects will be made in terms of creating public think tanks at Shenzhen University and the Shenzhen Academy of Social Sciences. There are also plans to build a pilot zone for a construction of a national cultural facility.
The national cultural facility will include cultural landmarks, such as galleries, a cultural and arts center and book stores in Bao’an and Longgang districts. To boost the city’s cultural creative industry an added value that is expected to reach 220 billion yuan will be used to cultivate 100 cultural creative enterprises that have global competitiveness and at the same time introduce them.
To further promote the development of the cultural creative industry, a Shenzhen Culture Innovation Industry Association was created that already has 300 members that are backed by eight enterprises that include Shenzhen Publishing and Circulation Group, Fantawild, A8 Music Group and Acto. The cultural creative industry will have ten categories.
These categories are enterprises in creative design, cultural software, animation, new media, digital publishing, cultural tourism, high end printing, performances, high end arts creation and intangible cultural development. But to further develop these enterprises they must be supported by the government, have social involvement and investment in the public sector.
