Retired NBA Players to Play a Game Against Beijing Jinyu Team

A team of retired players from the National Basketball Association will be in town to play an exhibition game against Beijing’s Jinyu Team at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center on May 3.

The team of retired players will consist of superstars Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Jason Williams and Clyde Drexler will play alongside the teams other members which consist of college athletes under the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Shenzhen will be the fifth leg of their tour in China. The team will also play games in Kinxi and Zibo in Shandong Province, Wuxi in Jiangsu Province, Cixi in Zhejiang Province and Luoyang in Henan Province.

Since there are a lot of national basketball players in China that are busy preparing for the 2012 London Olympics, the Jinyu team was chosen to face the US team in Shenzhen since they have the fewest number of Chinese players coming from the national team.

The venue for the exhibition game will be at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center Gymnasium on May 3 at 6:30 pm.
