Science Time in the Little Bunnies Class

Science time in the Little Bunnies ClassWe were busy learning about water and did many different activities related to water. We learned which animals lives in the water, how water can change from liquid to solid and many other educational and fun activities.

We were reading the book The Carrot Seed about the child that planted a carrot seed. Everybody kept saying to him that the seed was not going to come out! But the boy knew it would! The children were curious so we decided to plant our own seeds

The children put some cotton on the bottom of the paper cup and spread the seeds on top of it. Then they sprinkled it with some water.

After one day they checked the seeds with a magnifying glass to see if they had started to grow.

They sprinkled water on the seeds every day, just like the boy did in the book.

After few days the seedlings were big and tall!!!

As you can see, the children conducted water investigations and experienced many different creative activities. These `hands-on’ learning experiences demonstrate the children’s increasing confidence in using a variety of strategies for exploring, investigating and gaining knowledge, looking for patterns and classifying things for a purpose.
