Completed Components for Shenzhou-9 Spacecraft Delivered to Launch Center
The assembly of the Shenzhou-9 and its associated vehicles are already complete and was delivered to the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The spacecraft carrier rocket, Long March-2F was not included in the delivery since it was still undergoing several tests.
Once the carrier rocket passes the tests, it will then be delivered to the launch site. China will launch the manned spacecraft between June and August. Once in orbit the manned spacecraft will attempt a space rendezvous and docking with Tiangong-1 space lab. Preparations at the Jiuquan launch center are under way and the Tiangong-1 orbiting has no problems and is very much capable of docking with Shenzhou-9.
Tiangong-1 was launched last September 29, 2011, to do a long term operation in space. It also completed a space docking mission with the unmanned Shenzhou-8 early November. Now it awaits docking attempts from Shenzhou-9 and Shenzhou-10.
