Drivers Advised to Take Alternative Roads During May Day Holidays
Residents who are planning to drive to coastal resorts in the city during the May Day holidays are advised to take Yanpai Expressway so that they can avoid the busy roads like the Eastern Coastal Expressway.
The Eastern Coastal Expressway usually experience heavy traffic during the three day holiday that starts on April 29 in which travelers goes East therefore creating heavy traffic flow. The busiest time is usually during 10 am and 3 pm with the heaviest flow is between 2 to 3 pm. And during the end of the holiday traffic returning to the city will be busiest from 3 to 6 pm with the heaviest traffic flow at 4 to 5 pm.
There re also several routes recommended to those who want to drive to resorts near Shenzhen during the holidays to avoid congestion. Drivers going to Dapeng of Nan’ao should take roads covering Nanping Expressway, Shuiguan Expressway, Yanba Expressway, Yanpai Expressway and Shenkui road.
Travelers planning to go to amusement parks in Changlong Guangzhou can take the routes covering Beihuan Boulevard, Guangzhou Shenzhen Expressway and Nanguang Expressway. And to cope up with the large number of passengers, local bus stations will be adding 1,500 more bus journeys.
