Dameisha Beach to Limit Visitors During May Day Holidays
To reduce traffic congestion and pollution in the neighboring areas near Dameisha Beach, officials have decided to close off Damiesha beach to the public from 1 am until 6 am every night. This will be the first time visitors will not be allowed to spend nights at the beach park.
Officials will be also limiting visitors to the beach to a maximum of 50,000 people during the day on the three day May holidays and a traffic control system will be initiated to control the amount of people going to the beach and to patrol the neighboring areas. There is also the possibility of the beach to be temporarily closed in cases of typhoon or thunder storms.
Dameisha beach is open to the public and is known for its overcrowding especially during holidays. The government is advising holiday goers and visitors to avoid going to the beach during peak hours. The beach park has an area of 360,000 square meters and its facilities were only designed to accommodate 30,000 visitors in a day.
