8th Grade Humanities Classes Become Social Activists
Last May 29, from 11:10 to 12:20, Grade 8 Humanities classes will be hosting the 2nd annual Modern Slavery Awareness Campaign in the Bayside library. For the past couple of weeks, small groups of eighth graders have been conducting research, taking notes, participating in facilitated discussions and preparing their group’s social action plans. Their topics of research are human trafficking, child soldiers, chocolate slavery, carpet slavery and sweatshops.
We hope you can join us on May 29 to learn about what our 8th grade social activists are doing to raise awareness and to learn about what you can to do make a difference, too!
