New Apple Upgrade to have China Specific Features
Apple showed its appreciation on their Chinese users support by adding features to their latest upgrade in the OS X desktop operation system Mountain Lion and on their iOS 6 which is the operations system update on their iPod Touch, Ipad and iPhone.
Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing Philip Schiller, said that the Mountain Lion upgrade will be available for download by next month in their online stores will have China specific features that will improve text input, a new Chinese dictionary, easier setup with e-mail provider Baidu in Safari plus a built in sharing for Sina Weibo and video websites Tudou and Youku. The new text input will make typing traditional and simplified Chinese character faster, easier and more accurate. The system will also offer up to date and relevant candidates for several words and phrases while the user is typing.
Apple’s voice command system Siri on the iPhone will be now available on the iPad once upgraded to iOS 6. This will give Apple 15 supported languages that includes Cantonese and Mandarin.
