The reason for the increase sales in bamboo leaves and other related things in making zongzi is that more people are starting to make their own instead of buying at stores. Some are making their own zongzi because they find it safer and healthier ever since reports about unqualified zongzi was sold last year. Furthermore making zongzi with family members is a great way for family bonding.
