Nanshan to Celebrate Litchi Themed Festival
Nanshan district will begin its annual litchi themed cultural tourism festival on June 28 until July 20. Already on its 14th year the festival will celebrate the summertime fruit with a variety of local activities. An opening ceremony for the festival will be featured at the OCT Bay along with a carnival, shopping and different cultural events.
Hotels, resorts and shopping malls around the district will be participating in the festival and will help attract tourist by offering promos. Nanshan was home for the opening venue of the Universiade games last year, therefore the district will be promoting travel routes for visitors interested in seeing the games venues during the festival.
The festival is one of the district’s efforts in boosting consumer spending by attracting tourists and locals with a selection of snacks and signature dishes. The festival will also highlight cultural blocks of different sub districts in Nanshan since each has a unique feature. The cultural blocks will be showcasing various promotions all throughout the festival.
Nanshan is also planning to employ a unified sign system for its public service facilities to assist visitors in getting around while enjoying local attractions.
