More Guangdong Students to be Accepted in Top Universities
Several top universities around in the country are planning to enroll more students coming from the Guangdong Province. During an enrollment introduction meeting, these universities said that if the applicant agrees to follow university arrangement for their majors, the universities will offer more quotas for students coming from Guangdong.
Also universities in Guangdong will enroll more students this year by opening popular new majors to help attract high school graduates. If everything goes according to plan, the Fudan University will be enrolling 2,860 freshmen this year. Among the enrollees, 52 of them are coming from Guangdong a number that is slightly higher than last year. The university also opened a new major in its science and technology experiments that will promote liberal arts education in China. This new major will enroll 10 students from Guangdong.
Nankai University will enroll 3,230 students this year, with 43 students coming from Guangdong. The university’s popular majors will be expanding their admission pool to accept Guangdong students this year. The university also opened two new programs the biochemistry and international business.
The Chinese University of Political Science and Law will enroll 2000 students across the country and 90 will be from Guangdong Province. The university will also open a six-year program aimed to educate elite students in the fields of finance, economics and law.
Universities around Guangdong will also enroll more students, while a few will enroll fewer.
