Japanese Companies to Bring New Investments to Shenzhen
Eight Japanese corporations are planning to bring new investments in Shenzhen. Among the eight companies are Aeon, Nitto Denko and Fuji Electric have already signed investment contracts with the Shenzhen government during an investment policy introduction meeting. The eight corporations will be bringing in a total of 7 billion yuan in investments.
The director of Invest Shenzhen Qiu Wen said, there are 745 Japanese projects currently in operation in the city for the past twenty years with investments reaching US$ 3.1 billion. Invest Shenzhen is a government run organization promotes foreign investment and does research in finding potential locations for commercial complexes
Nitto Denko, a Japanese electric company have already opened three companies in Shenzhen since 1999 and is still planning to invest in the city’s flat panel display industry. Japan’s consul general in Guangzhou Ito Koichi said that there are more than 400 Japanese enterprises with established business in Shenzhen and around 4,000 Japanese employees living in the city. Koichi also said that these companies are looking for favorable investment policies in China.

More than a hundred Japanese companies attended the investment policy introduction meeting yesterday and discussed the city’s investment policies that are related to processing foreign supplies materials, taxes, land and social security with Shenzhen officials.
