Lang to Establish International Music Institute in FutianA cooperation memorandum sign by 30-year-old Chinese pianist Lang Lang with the district government, will be establishing an international music institute in Futian. Lang is also Shenzhen’s International Goodwill Ambassador. Lang said that well known piano professors from the US and Europe will be invited to teach in the institute.

Details such as location and costs of the institute have not yet been decided. In line with the establishment of the institute, Lang is also opening a studio in the district that will help in developing piano education. The cooperation between the government and the world known pianist is said to attract high-end music professional in the district to foster and guide existing talent.

Thanks to parent’s strong support, Chinese children are harder working in learning piano than their foreign counterparts. Lang said that it is more important for them to feel the pleasure of playing the piano through an international education that focuses on normative theories. When a child learns a sense of achievement during each practice then they will continue to study own their own. Aside from the music institute and piano workshop, Lang will utilize his reputation and helps bring more international cultural projects in the district.
