Apple to Start Selling the New iPad in China
After settling the trademark issue with Proview, Apple has announced that the popular tablet computer will arriving in China on July 20. The new iPad will be available through the Apple online store, selected authorized resellers and through reservations from any apple retail store in China.
Reservations for the new iPad will be accepted starting July 19 and can be claimed the following day. The iPad 2 will also be available for purchase in China at a reduced price. Last March Apple introduced its third generation tablet pc featuring a Retina display, HD camera and a faster processor. So far the new iPad is available in almost 50 countries and regions.
China is the second largest market for Apple, after the United States. China has contributed more than US$ 7.0 billion in revenues or 20 percent during Apple’s second fiscal quarter of 2012.
