Airport to Build Transportation Hub for Passenger Convenience

Shenzhen international airport will be building a transportation hub in the new terminal 3 building. Once construction is finished travel time from Shenzhen to Hong Kong airports will be dramatically reduced.

With 65,000 square meters, the hub will be called GTC and will be connecting Terminal 3 with the Metro rail. Set to open by next year the transportation hub expansion will bring the annual passenger flow of the airports to 45 million. The hub will also be providing passengers access to public transportation including taxis, buses and Metro. Line 11 of the Metro rail will allow passengers to reach Terminal 3 from Futian in less than 30 minutes. Another Metro line is being planned between Shenzhen and Hong Kong airport that will take ten minutes to travel in between airports. Metro line 10 will also be connected to Terminal 3 in the future.

There will be fourteen bus lines connecting the airport to various parts of the city, plus five airport direct bus routes than will transport 24,000 passengers a day. Shenzhen airport will also offer transportation access to cities across the Pearl River Delta including Dongguan, Huizhou, Macao and Hong Kong.
