Shenzhen is Top Choice for Graduates in Starting Careers
The number of job seekers in Shenzhen is expected to increase as a large groups of newly graduates is expected to join the number of graduates from recent years. The figures are from a report compiled by a job hunting website, saying that more than 70 percent of the graduates this year are planning to work and live in one of the five major cities namely Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin and Shenzhen.
Shenzhen is known as an immigrant city, wherein outsiders find it easier to adapt to the life in Shenzhen where there are more opportunities for younger people to find a mark. Although most are hoping to find their ideal jobs in Shenzhen, experts are saying that it might not be easier this year.
Experts are suggesting that the graduates should be more open minded in looking for jobs and should explore more fields outside of their major. For example a professional graduated from journalism in Wuhan University, but is working as a product manager in an IT company. Others have decided to start to open their own business rather than go out and look for a job.
