Taiwan Finally Opens Up for Self Guided Tours for Shenzhen Residents
The National Tourism Administration announced that starting August 28, Shenzhen residents can now visit Taiwan as individual tourists. The news of Taiwan opening up to individual tours have excited local travel agencies.
By allowing self guided tours, tour agencies hopes that more residents will be encourage to visit Taiwan, several tour agencies have already started planning tours for those interested in visiting Taiwan and agencies said that the number of travelers could go up to 20 percent.
And residents will not have to worry on increase in travel prices, since the city have given more than 50 travel agencies qualifications to do Taiwan tours. Although an official from the city tourism administration have said that they have still not receive any official notice on the opening of the individual tours. Residents of Xi’an, Jinan and Fuzhou are also eligible to take self guided tours.
Taiwan officially open the self guided tours for nine mainland cities the first three were Shanghai, Beijing and Xiamen, then followed by Tianjin, Nanjing, Chong-qing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Hangzhou.
