Park to Open Doors to Public Every Tuesday
The OCT Wetland Park is opening its doors to the public for one day every week and will also limit the number of visitors to 100. The implementation of the visitor limit will help protect the park’s environment since the park is known as a landmark ecological feature in Shenzhen.
Residents planning to visit the park must submit their name, occupation, phone number and ID number at the OCT Wetland Park microblog http://weibo.com/octwetland. Each web ID registration can list up to three people and deadline for submission ends at 6 pm every Sunday. Then the chosen names will be posted by park management on its microblog every Monday.
Located on the northern side of the OCT Bay complex the park is about 685,000 meters big and is China’s only inner city mangrove wetland park that contains around 40,000 square meters of mangrove forest and different kinds of rare birds. The park was previously opened for research groups and environmental protection purposes in May.
The OCT Wetland Park opens every Tuesday from 9:30 am until 12 pm then from 2:30 pm until 5 pm with 50 visitors allowed on each time slot.
