City to do Specific Weather Forecasts for Every District and New Areas
Starting October the Shenzhen meteorological observatory will be providing weather forecasts that are specific to the districts and new areas in the city. The weather information for six districts and four new areas is updated every hour and will forecasts any upcoming weather in the next 12 hours.
The observatory welcomes any suggestions or comments from residents on their plans through their official microblog and website from today until September 22. The new service was promoted after six months of doing trial operations. The region specific weather forecasts will complement rather than replacing overall city weather forecasts. This specific forecast is expected to help people that are involved in projects, activities and events across the city to get better data for their locations.
Immediate forecast for the city is sunny, and temperatures will hover between 25 to 31 degrees Celsius this week, and light rain is expected from Thursday and Saturday. Meteorologists are tracking typhoon Sanba which is more than 1,000 kilometers away from Shenzhen and is moving north towards the Japanese island of Okinawa and is will make landfall in the Korean peninsula.
